Privacy
Your privacy at Eden Circles
Eden Circles is Eden Health's peer learning program. We keep as little about you as we can, we keep it private by default, and you can take it with you or delete it at any time. This page explains what we hold, why, for how long, and who helps us run the service.
Last updated 30 October 2026.
What we never hold
- Your health results. No numbers, measurements or diagnoses from your Eden report are ever stored in Eden Circles. Your Journey links to your Eden report instead.
- Recordings. Audio is processed live and never stored. Video is never recorded.
- Your mistakes in practice, in anyone else's view. What you get wrong while practising is seen by you alone, never by your circle, a guide or staff.
- Children's details. If you tell us about a family session, we keep a child's first name only.
Eden Circles is for adults. We do not sell data to anyone.
What we hold and why
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| Your name, preferred name, email, country and time zone | To sign you in, send your invitations at the right local time, and show the right support line if you ever need one. |
| Your onboarding answers and your Circle Portrait | To place you in a circle that suits how you like to learn and take part, and to give you roles that rotate fairly. |
| Your consents, with the date and wording you agreed to | So we can show you what you agreed to and honour any change you make. |
| Attendance, notes you write, commitments and your Lotus check-ins | To build your Journey and your circle's Garden, and to send the reminders you asked for. |
| Practice answers, levels, stamps and Eden Tokens | So practice adapts to you and brings back what you are ready to revise. |
| Contributions, referrals and anything you choose to share at a Showcase | To recognise what you give, plant seedlings for it, and read aloud only the line you chose. |
| Feedback on sessions | To improve the sessions. Comments are read by the Eden team. |
| A record of staff actions | Every time a staff member changes something about a member, a circle or content, or exports data, it is logged. |
Sessions, audio and transcripts
An AI facilitator guides each session. To do that it listens to the conversation as it happens and turns speech into text. That text is used for two things only: writing a short summary of the session for your circle, and keeping people safe.
- Transcripts are deleted after 30 days.
- Summaries are written to leave out health details and are checked before they are sent.
- Staff cannot read transcripts in ordinary use. If something worrying is flagged, a program manager may open only the few minutes around that moment, must write down why, and that access is logged and visible to the Eden admin team.
- Emails to staff about a flag never include what was said.
Who sees what
- Your circle sees your first name, your role in a session, and what you choose to share. They never see your onboarding answers, your practice results, or your private Showcase feedback.
- A Peer Guide hosting your session sees first names and roles only.
- Eden program managers see what they need to place you in a circle and look after you: your Portrait, attendance and any safety flags. Learning results are shown to staff only as group totals, and never for groups smaller than three people.
- Someone who invited you sees only your first name and whether you registered your interest or completed your Baseline.
How long we keep it
- Transcripts: 30 days, unless part of an open safety review.
- Audio and video: never stored.
- Sign-in links and codes: deleted once they expire.
- Your notes, commitments, summaries, Portrait and Journey: for as long as you keep your account.
- After you delete your account: everything personal is removed 30 days later. Until then you can change your mind. Your circle will see "a former member" in past sessions.
- Backups: encrypted, and kept for 30 days.
Who helps us run Eden Circles
These companies process data for us, only to provide the service, under contract. None of them may use it for their own purposes.
| Provider | What they do |
|---|---|
| DigitalOcean | Hosts the service, its database and its encrypted backups. |
| LiveKit | Carries live audio and video during sessions. Nothing is recorded. |
| Anthropic (Claude) | Writes the facilitator's words, session summaries and Circle Portraits, and helps spot when someone may need support. Anthropic does not train its models on this data. |
| Hume AI | If voice facilitation is switched on, turns the facilitator's words into speech and listens in real time. Not stored. |
| Resend | Sends our emails. |
| Cloudinary | Serves images and session media. |
| Google Fonts and YouTube | Serve the fonts on our pages and, in some sessions, a video. They see your device's address when they do. |
Your choices and rights
- See and download everything Eden Circles holds about you, from Settings, as one file.
- Correct your name, time zone and other details in Settings.
- Change your consents in Settings. Research use and marketing emails are optional and can be turned off at any time. Research use is de-identified and never includes your words.
- Leave competitions: your circle can turn off Cups and Duels.
- Delete your account from Settings, confirmed with a code.
You can also ask us to restrict or stop any use of your data, or complain to the data protection authority where you live.
Safety
Eden Circles is a peer learning program, not medical or psychological treatment. If someone shares something that suggests they may be at risk, the facilitator pauses kindly, shows that person a support line for their country privately, and a member of Eden staff follows up. A safety flag records the time, session and level of concern, not what was said.
Questions
Ask your program manager, or reply to any Eden Circles email, and the Eden team will answer. Eden Health is responsible for your data in Eden Circles.
